CATHOLIC ARCHDIOCESAN ANNUAL APPEAL
“Onward Together in Faith: Sharing His Gifts"
“Bear one another’s burdens”
Gal 6:2 |
| From the Desk fo the Archbishop |
|
|
The 2009 Catholic Archdiocesan Annual Appeal began February 1st. Our parish volunteers have again committed to sharing their time and talent in this ministry, and have completed a renewal process. Of course we will be inviting even more of the faithful to share in the fiscal responsibilities of our Archdiocese. Therefore when you are visited or approached by a member of your Parish Team, I ask that you welcome them as you would me.
The current status of both global and local economies have left many persons facing hardship and uncertainties. Therefore this year’s Appeal will show our concern for those who may be negatively impacted by the recent economic downturn. The Case for the Appeal reflects this concern.
Last year many of you demonstrated your willingness and |
ability to rise to the challenge of helping to meet the increasing operating cost of our archdiocese and its programs. I am extremely grateful for this level of support. A special challenge we have is inviting more to participate in the Appeal. Remember, it is through the generosity of you the faithful that we can continue to live and to be the light of Christ in our community.
I look forward to your participation in this year’s Catholic Archdiocesan Annual Appeal. I pray that you and your family may receive every grace and blessing throughout this year.
Devotedly yours in Christ,

Most Revered Patrick C. Pinder, STD, CMG
Archbishop of Nassau

Parish Sharing Formula
The Catholic Archdiocesan Annual Appeal has served as a source of major fundraising for the parishes due to the return received from the Parish Sharing Formula.
This gives parishes additional resources and financial assistance to carry out special projects. Parishes achieving their goal in cash will receive 40% of all funds raised in cash over their goal.

Here’s How You Can Help…
We would be grateful to receive your entire gift at one time. However, your gift in the form of a pledge will enable you to give more easily.
When you make a pledge you are asked for the first of four monthly payments. The remainder will be billed through monthly statements. The 2009 Appeal ends August 31, 2009. Your parish volunteer will offer several gift plans. We appreciate any gift plan which is proportionate to your budget, or any contribution that your needs permit. With your help we will be able to fully address our archdiocesan needs.
Bahamian checks (or US Dollar checks drawn on local banks) should be made payable to “Catholic Archdiocesan Annual Appeal” and given to a CAAA volunteer, your Pastor, Parish Office, or the Annual Appeal Office.
For U.S. Tax Purposes: Please make checks drawn on U.S. Bank Accounts, payable to “Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Nassau Foundation Inc.” The tax ID# is 11-379-8061.
